The Accelerated Academic Achievement for English Language Learners (ELL) Certification Training is tailor-made for schools and districts that wish to increase their capacity to offer on-site, sustainable staff development.  By training your own cadre of staff developers via The Center’s certification program, your school or district can save money while working toward raising student achievement.

This training provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to present and implement the content of the Accelerating Academic Achievement for English Language Learners seminar within their schools and districts.

The Certification Training and follow-up support will help the schools and districts to:

• Build internal capacity in a cost-effective way
• Provide effective on-going professional development

For less than the cost of a one-day seminar presented by a Center consultant, a certified instructor can present the Accelerating Academic Achievement for English Language Learners seminar an unlimited number of times in their school or district for a period of three years…And the Certified Instructor will still receive ongoing support from senior Center consultants!

Prerequisites:

Participants must have the following prerequisites:

• Previously attended the two-day Accelerating Academic Achievement for English Language Learners seminar prior to attending this instruction.  You may have attended the two-day seminar at one of our sponsored events or onsite at your district. If you have not yet had the two-day seminar, we can bring this seminar onsite to your district.

Learning Objectives:

• Present the content of the Accelerating Academic Achievement for English Language Learners seminar
• Learn how to use the instruction manual and permanent resources to enhance the learning experience for teachers and administrators.
• Sustain professional development by providing on-site expertise during implementation at the school and district levels
• During the included Follow-up Implementation Webinars:
• Review sample implementation plans and create a customized plan that results in sustainable professional development across the school or district
• Discuss factors to improve quality and levels of implementation

Certified Instructors will receive the following support from The Center:

• Three-year license to present this content in your district
• PowerPoint presentation with speaker’s notes
• Several resources with background, research, and success stories on Accelerating Academic Achievement for English Language Learners
• Participant Training Manual
• Sample agendas, pacing guides, and implementation support
• Email and webinar suppoer for issues faced by Certified Instructors
• Complimentary subscription to The Center Magazine
• Certificate of Completion suitable for framing and 22.5 class hours toward your license renewal.
