What is Common Formative Assessments Certification Training?

Training where participants will learn how to gain a deeper understanding of the seminar content in addition to learning how to support and guide professional development in designing and using teacher-created assessments. Successful completion of the Common Formative Assessments Certification Training will prepare participants to present the Common Formative Assessments seminar in their districts.


What are the LEARNING OBJECTIVES of Common Formative Assessments Certification Training?

Participants will learn how to:

  • Present the content of the Common Formative Assessments seminar
  • Sustain professional development by providing on-site expertise during implementation at the school and district levels
  • Develop facilitation and presentation skills


The Research

Organizations such as the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), the National Education Association (NEA), and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) all agree that there is a critical need for focus and prioritization on state standards.
