What causes student achievement and how can you personally impact results?  Building Blocks for Change begins with a compelling keynote address that explores the reasons students achieve and how greater change can occur in your schools and district. Then, attend your choice of an in-depth, two-day seminar.  Seminar topics include our most popular offerings, as well as new seminars that address today’s most challenging issues in education.  All seminars include new research, powerful interactive content, and dynamic tools for immediate implementation in the classroom.

Event Location and Hotel Accommodations

The Westin Lombard Yorktown Center, 70 Yorktown Shopping Center, Lombard, Illinois 60148. Reservations: 1-888-627-9031.

The group discount rate is $129.00 per night plus tax. Training participants are responsible for their own hotel room reservations and payment.  Mention The Leadership and Learning Center to get the discount rate and make your reservation at least four weeks in advance of the training date to be assured of receiving the discount rate. Please note that the Westin does not accept purchase orders as payment.

There is no complimentary hotel shuttle service from Midway or O’Hare, however the Westin recommends Windy City Limousine, which offers a flat rate of $25 to and from either airport; call 1-866-949-4639. Use of city cabs may result in higher fares. The Westin is within walking distance from many great shops and restaurants. Parking at the Westin is complimentary. 

Cancellations and Substitutions

All cancellations must be submitted in writing. If cancellation occurs less than 30 days in advance of the seminar date, a credit of the seminar tuition, less a $125 cancellation fee, will be applied to your account and may be used for future purchase of Center products or services. Substitutions are permissible.
