Meeting the Challenges of the Common Core in 90/90/90 Schools – Cathy Lassiter

Participants in this session will examine the challenges of the CCSS through the lens of 90/90 schools. All schools across the nation will have to step up their curricula, pedagogy, assessment, and data analyses, but schools in 90/90 districts will face additional challenges related to their current achievement levels and expectations inherent in the CCSS. Participants will explore the expectations in math and English, and begin planning to ready their schools and classrooms for the demands headed their way.

Formative assessments are a part of the teaching and learning process – rather than an outcome of that process – which provides immediate feedback to both the learner and the teacher.
