    This informative session provides leaders with the essential steps necessary to support staff in implementing the Common Core State Standards as they prepare students for the 2014 national assessment.

  • Using the Common Core to Design a Rigorous Curriculum Design — Larry Ainsworth

    Based on his new book, Rigorous Curriculum Design, by Larry Ainsworth, this session will provide an overview of how to design a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum that intentionally connects the CCSS standards (both priority and supporting), unit assessments, engaging learning experiences, and related instruction. After building a strong, five-step standards-based foundation, curriculum design teams are ready to create rigorous units of study following a practical, straightforward process. Participants will view the model’s Unit Planning Organizer for creating units of study based on the “unwrapped” math and English language arts CCSS in every grade, K-12, and receive helpful resources to begin curriculum redesign efforts in their own school systems.

  • Deepen Your Assessment Literacy Knowledge Connie Kamm

    Revisit your understandings of balanced assessment in our schools. This session will provide information on “assessment of learning” and “assessment for learning” as well as provide strategies for practical applications at all levels.

You must cancel in writing. The Center does not give refunds. If you cancel more than 30 days in advance of the conference, The Center will apply 100% of the tuition to your Center account for future purchases of our products or services. If you cancel fewer than 30 days in advance of the conference, The Center will apply a tuition credit to your Center account, less a cancellation fee of 50% of the conference tuition.
