- Integrate Compelling Conversation data into Data Team goals and instructional decisions
- Create a plan for immediate implementation of Compelling Conversations at your site
This one day seminar designed for principals, assistant principals, central office curriculum and instruction leaders, and other school leaders participants, details the Compelling Conversation process for improve student achievement.
High-stakes assessments provide data developed by accountability experts, but if the data is not timely or informative, it cannot help improve learning. Believing in your teachers translates directly into believing in your students. A new era is here, and it is time for principals and school leaders to inhabit the present reality with honesty. In contrast Compelling Conversations drive out fear of test scores and replace that fear with focused confidence in student learning. These regularly scheduled conversations between the administrative team and each teacher yield immediate data which becomes a centerpiece of shared accountability with Data Teams for student progress during the year. This process is unprecedented in cutting through barriers of norms hidden within traditional, isolated decisions. Student success, as evidenced in the triangulated hard-data results, makes these conversations compelling.
