Visible Learning Plus™ is specifically designed for school-based teams. Through on-site professional development, implementation, and coaching, educators learn to systematically examine instructional practices to determine the collective and individual “impact” on student achievement and learning. Visible Learning Plus™ Foundation Seminar
This seminar introduces you to the practices of John Hattie’s internationally acclaimed research in his 2009 book, Visible Learning: A Synthesis of Over 800 Meta-Analyses Relating to Achievement. This research involved 15 years, many millions of students, and represents the largest ever evidence-based research into what actually works in schools to improve learning. In this interactive session, you will examine the research into the major effect sizes that contribute to improved student learning outcomes. We will take you beyond the book to show you how to take the first steps in discovering those actions and practices that will have the greatest effect on your school/system’s student outcomes.

Taking the Next Steps…
Evidence into Action Seminars & On-Site Implementation
After experiencing the powerful introduction to Visible Learning Plus™ through our Foundation Seminar, you have the opportunity to partner with The Center and our experienced experts to take “evidence into action.” Through our Evidence into Action seminars, we will work together with you to take a highly customized approach to gathering the evidence of what works in your school/system today, as well as to select new actions and practices that will profoundly improve student outcomes in the future.
- Evidence into Action Seminar: Part 1
- One-day seminar with the option to add on-site implementation visits by a Center Professional Development Associate
- Evidence into Action Seminar: Part 2
- A follow-up one-day seminar which occurs 6-12 weeks after Part 1, during which time teachers and leaders will gather evidence and implement practices learned in Part 1, as optionally guided by a Center Professional Development Associate. Part 2 includes the option to add on-site implementation visits and coaching by a Center Professional Development Associate
