ESL learners, Bonnie Bishop will present Interactive Writing
for English Learners - Writing in Action! (please note
that you must attend both days of this session), a
learning strand exclusively dedicated to help ESL teachers
and students.
Alice
Greiner, author of The Write Tools: Strategies that Make
an Immediate Difference in the Classroom, will present
The Write Tools: Writing Across the Curriculum and The
Write Tools: The Reading/Writing Connection. Alice's
seminars are designed for grades K-12 educators who possess
minimal experience using writing in the classroom to improve
overall student achievement.
Dr.
Angela Peery will present Writing to Learn: Instructional
Strategies for NonFiction Writing and Writing to Learn:
Assessing NonFiction Writing. These seminars are designed
for grades 3-12 educators experienced with using writing
in the classroom in content areas other than English language
arts. These seminars are intended to move school faculties
toward using common strategies and collaborative scoring
processes.
